1) How do ORA-BANDs work?
ORA-BANDs work by applying tensile forces to separated teeth. Over time these forces bring the separated teeth together. This process is usually completed within a few weeks.

2) How long will my gap stay closed?
With daily application ORA-BAND Closing Bands will close the gap between your teeth within the first 30 days of use. From this point you will use ORA-BAND Retaining Bands to keep your gap from reforming. Each order contains enough bands to last approximately 1 year. While you are using your Retaining Bands you should make plans to be fitted for a traditional retainer by an orthodontist or get a custom fitted retainer from an online company. The process of manufacturing a custom retainer typically takes about 6 weeks. You have now saved yourself thousands of dollars in orthodontic treatment with a truly permanent solution to remedy the gaps between your front row of teeth. There really is no getting around purchasing a retainer to ensure permanent results. Treatment with braces lasts for years. Anyone that wears braces is fitted for a retainer at the conclusion of their treatment. This retainer must be applied indefinitely to prevent losing the progress attained in their original orthodontic treatment. Some clients opt to continue purchasing ORA-BANDs as their supply runs low. We appreciate repeat business but we are vested in helping you to attain permanent gap closure. For permanent results get a retainer after the ORA-BANDs have done their job.

***This is an important point: Do not believe any source of information that tells you that you do not need to get a retainer after moving your teeth. This is simply not true! A retainer is essential to all orthodontic treatments. If you come across anything that claims to be "permanent" without mentioning the need for a retainer be aware that you are being presented with false information. Your teeth will have the tendency to relapse into their old positions for years to come. A retainer prevents this relapse.***

3) Are there any recurring fees?
No. There are absolutely no recurring fees.

4) Will I get a tracking number?
Yes. You will receive a tracking number via e-mail at the time of shipment. All of our orders are shipped with tracking numbers.

5) I have a crown on one of the teeth that I want to bring together. Can I still use ORA-BANDs?
No. Do not use ORA-BANDs if you have a crown on any of the teeth that you will be applying the ORA-BANDs to.

6) Do ORA-BANDs correct overbites, underbites or crooked teeth?
No. ORA-BANDs are strictly to be used to close the gaps between your front row of teeth.

7) How many hours per day should I wear them? Can I wear them during the daytime?
We recommend wearing ORA-BANDs as much as possible for best results. The only time that you should not wear the bands is when you are eating or brushing your teeth. Braces are worn 24/7. You should take a similar approach to wearing ORA-BANDs. You have the option to remove the bands periodically. However, persistent application is the key to achieving your goals. You can wear the bands in the day and at night. ORA-BANDs are made from a clear material that makes them virtually unnoticeable when you wear them on your teeth.

8) Are they safe?
Yes. ORA-BANDs are:
a) Manufactured in the United States of America.
b) Our manufacturer is approved by the Food and Drug Administration of America (FDA).
c) Our bands are manufactured and packaged in a sterile facility. Our packaging is mechanically sealed. There is no human contact with your ORA-BANDs until YOU open the package.

9) Are ORA-BANDs just rubber bands?
No. ORA-BANDs are not made from latex or rubber of any sort. ORA-BANDs are made from an elastic Medical Grade Resin.
Medical Grade Resins are used in such medical devices as pacemakers and heart stints. This grade of resin is completely non-allergenic. Thus, ORA-BANDs are entirely safe for intraoral use.

10) What is the difference between the Narrow Bands, Wide Bands and the Combo Pack?
The difference between the Narrow Bands and the Wide Bands is in the diameter of the bands. Wide Bands have a larger diameter than Narrow Bands. The Combo Pack is a combination of both Narrow Bands and Wide Bands. The appropriate uses for each package are as follows:

a) Narrow Bands are designed to fit around your Central Incisors (otherwise known as your two front teeth). Only use Narrow Bands for your Central Incisors.
Grip a Narrow Band between your index finger and your thumb and wrap it around your two front teeth. When you let go of the Narrow Band the tensile forces in the band will begin working to move your two front teeth toward each other.

b) Wide Bands are to be used to bring in your Lateral Incisors (the teeth along the outsides of your two front teeth) and your Canine Teeth (the sharp teeth on both ends of your front row of teeth).
To bring in your Lateral Incisors grip a Wide Band between your index finger and thumb and wrap it around the entire distance from your left Lateral Incisor to your Right Lateral Incisor.
To bring in your Canine Teeth you will need to use 2 Wide Bands at all times. The force applied to each side of your front row of teeth must be symmetrical. Wrap one Wide Band around your left Central Incisor and stretch it around your right Canine tooth. Wrap the other Wide Band around your right Central Incisor and stretch it around your left Canine tooth. This will bring the Canine Teeth in toward your Lateral Incisors.

WIDE BANDS HAVE NO EFFECT ON YOUR TWO FRONT TEETH. DO NOT ORDER THE WIDE BANDS PACKAGE EXPECTING ONE WIDE BAND TO BRING TOGETHER YOUR ENTIRE FRONT ROW OF TEETH.
WIDE BANDS WILL ONLY BRING IN YOUR LATERAL INCISORS AND CANINE TEETH. THIS IS BECAUSE THE DIAMETER OF WIDE BANDS IS TOO LARGE TO CREATE ANY FORCE ON YOUR CENTRAL INCISORS. USE WIDE BANDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH NARROW BANDS TO CLOSE MULTIPLE SPACES IN YOUR FRONT ROW OF TEETH.

c)The Combo Pack includes both Narrow Bands and Wide Bands. Use the Combo Pack to close multiple spaces across your front row of teeth.

11) What is the difference between Closing Bands and Retaining Bands?
a) Closing Bands will be the bands that you start out with. Closing Bands have the strength to bring your teeth together.

b) Retaining Bands will hold your teeth in place after your teeth have come together. Retaining Bands are designed with long term use in mind. You will notice that Retaining Bands are lighter and have a more comfortable feeling on your teeth. Wearing these bands will prevent a relapse of the gap between your teeth.

12) Will closing my gap create more gaps along the sides of my teeth?
This is why we offer a Combo Pack. The Combo Pack comes with two different sizes of bands. Larger gaps will have a tendency to create additional gaps along the sides of your teeth when they are closed. Use the Narrow Bands in combination with the Wide Bands to prevent these new spaces from forming.

13) Why 400 ORA-BANDs?
On average, you will be changing bands three times daily during the period of time that ORA-BANDs are closing your gap(s). After your gap(s) close(s) you will make the transition to wearing Retaining Bands. While using the Retaining Bands you will notice that you can reduce the amount of bands that you use every day. This is because your teeth will begin to independently maintain their position for longer periods of time as the months go by. Remove ORA-BANDs when you are eating hard foods (such as bagels, steak, apples, etc.) or brushing your teeth. If you use our product as directed your gap(s) will close within the first month of use. The Retaining Bands will give you plenty of time to be fitted for a traditional retainer once your gap has been closed by your ORA-BANDs.

14) ORA-BAND vs. Traditional Braces?
ORA-BANDs are only to be used to close the gaps between your teeth. If you have any other orthodontic issues you should consult with an orthodontist. The average orthodontist makes $98.40 per hour. 15) What if I don't have a credit/debit card or PayPal account?
We routinely accept payment by way of Money Orders. If you choose this method of payment be mindful that it will take approximately 10 days from the time that you mail your money order for you to receive your items. We have to receive your money order in the mail, process the payment and ship your product. Please include the package that you want (Narrow Bands, Wide Bands or the Combo Pack) and a correct shipping address. If you have an e-mail address it would be helpful if you supplied it with your order. It is not necessary to supply an e-mail address. However, sending in your order with an e-mail address has a few benefits:
a) We send invoices confirming receipt of your order via e-mail.
b) We send notification of shipment (including your tracking number) via e-mail.
c) Our fulfillment partner sends confirmation of shipment via e-mail.
We use e-mail to keep you informed of the status of your order until you are in receipt of your items.

16) When I place my order how long will it be before my product ships?
We ship twice every weekday (with the exception of holidays) and once on Saturday. That means that if you put an order in on a weekday before 3:00pm it will ship the very same day. Orders received on weeknights will ship the very next morning. If you put an order in on a Saturday before 12:00pm it will ship the very same day. Orders received after 12:00pm on Saturday and all Sunday orders will be shipped on Monday morning. If you choose Free Shipping your product will arrive at your location within 4 to 5 business days. If you choose Priority Shipping your product will arrive in 2 business days.
